2010 chevy malibu power steering

I have a 2010 Malibu 2LT and the same issues happened with mine. It did this for a couple weeks, then when I started it, the steering would not work at all. There is a recall on this, but mine was out of warrant. The repair shop had to replace the steering Column (because the angle sensor is built into that) and the power steering module unit.
