Cape ann whale watch
We traveled with Cape Ann Whale Watch on August 18th, 2008. We saw 15 humpback whales, with lots of breaching, tail slapping, and close-to-the-boat views. It was absolutely breath-taking. The boat (Hurricane II) was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The sailing was smooth (despite choppy seas). There was plenty of space, so crowding wasn't a problem.
I went with Cape Ann Whale Watch (with a Groupon) two years ago. It was excellent. They seem very much commited to the well-being of the whales, and the guide was very good.I can't compare it to any other outfit, but I think you could book it with confidence.
