Build in the southeast edge of the undead mounds. There's great access to stone, iron, wood, and high tier thralls, and the all important obelisk is very close. There's water for fishing, and bark and plant matter in decent quality for small scale work. No brimstone at all, but that's where being right next door to the obelisk comes in. You know you’ve played too much Conan when the only places you didn’t already know here are the volcano tunnels that are barely usable. Like the video says at the end, there’s plenty more.
