John deere instrument panel not working

Nov 22, 2017 · Broken hour meter for x series instrument panels - options. I'm currently rebuilding my x485 and posting my progress in another thread. But, as part of the work, I wanted to determine the number of hours on my (new to me) tractor. I removed the instrument panel - applied 12v to pin 17 and ground to pin 20 - and nothing on the hour meter.

Just bought a john deere 7775 skid and after 2 weeks of trying to diagnose electrical issues I am seeking some reach from other deere owners or a new holland guy that has some input. ... Looks like either the dash panel module or the fuel sensor or the temp sensor. Being it is both senders, I'd suspect the dash panel module. There is a test procedure to isolate these three possibilities in the tech manual. I gather the s/n is under the 70000 when some changes were made to the 425.
