Drops in lost sector appear to prioritize exotics you haven't picked up yet. Once all are obtained, it is random. I'd put drop rate at about 1 exotic per 4 to 6 runs on average from running a bunch if legendary difficulty last night. Master should increase this so maybe 1 exo per 3 to 4 runs from what I saw in the past on another character.
