Kia sorento water leak passenger side
While checking over the Kia this evening, I noticed a small amount of coolant on the garage floor. I looked on the side of the engine and saw a large amount of green coolant residue around the water pump pulley and draining down. I assume the water pump is leaking due to failure. I removed everything and changed the water pump, timing belt, tensioner and pully (1st timing belt job. Made easy by this forum (Thanks). I used RTV sealant on the water pump gasket.

I have a 2012 Kia Sorento LX and there was recently a lot of rain in my area, and with the rain came a water leak on the driver side in the front. I couldn't trace it back but i believe its coming from the door seal considering only the floor is wet. One test would be, running the car with the A/C on and seeing if a puddle forms under the car where the drain is located. No puddle (or small puddle) means the drain is blocked. You will need to pull the side pillar covers and possibly the head liner out to find where the leak is coming from. Consumer Report, Powers and many other testing outfits are of the opposite opinion, so are most owners. If your shop was not able to find a water leak, it is the shop that has problems, not the vehicle.1. The Cooling System Of The Engine. The case is located on the passenger side next to the firewall. The evaporator sweats because it is cooler than the outside air. Take a glass of ice water outside and watch it drip.
