There are many sushi restaurants to choose from in Kona. But not many are good. I prefer Sushi Sam's because it is as fresh and authentic as you can get anywhere in the area. The service is also genuine and friendly. I believe we have ordered just about everything on the menu and I recommend the Signature Roll, Toro Nigiri, and Thin Sliced Hamachi.
