Not exactly super shoe but its worth to looking at them. No one has mentioned the New Balance 5280 but it's definitely my favourite carbon plated racer for a 5k. It makes me faster than any other shoe, like 5:15 miles. I have run in pretty much every other super shoe but none is as light, responsive and propulsive.

If you have a wider mid-foot I would suggest the New Balance 880v11 over the 1080v10 (or v11). I ordered both in 4E and while the toe boxes were plenty roomy, the mid foot on the 880 felt better. Hoka Shoes are very different shoe to shoe for my feeling. Used the Bondi when i started. Even after 600km i got blisters after each run but they still gave me the opportunity to overcome the knee issues and build muscles supporting my knee.
