Apr 13, 2023 · Glad we did! The trailhead is up a 6 mile dirt road that is very steep and rocky at times. It took about 20 minutes just on the dirt road. It was a busy day with many cars parked on the side of the road. Getting to Whitaker point on the trail was moderately easy, although there were a few steep descents and lots of rocks and roots to navigate.
